About Me

Everyone has ideas, sometimes those ideas lay dormant, other times we give those ideas life. I have been filming and editing videos since 2008, starting out small, and now making more quality productions. Throughout my time in college, I have explored many aspects of film, becoming familiar with as much as possible to understanding the processes involved. After exploring each aspect of film production, I have been drawn towards the editing and writing side of the film spectrum.

To get projects done you have to go out and do it – this is something everyone has to know and accept. Commitment is key in the world of film, otherwise nothing would ever get accomplished. Another large aspect of thisĀ  is problem solving devices, which are devices used to solve unexpected problems off the cuff. This is where my improv experience comes into play. I have been doing improvisational theater for about 5 years now, and not only has it helped me be more comfortable around people, it also has helped me problem solve in tight situations. The experience and knowledge we obtain throughout life can be used in many aspects of our lives; sometimes it just takes time to fully understand how to utilize the skills we have acquired.

Accomplishments aren’t just handed out; you need to work for what you want and put forth all of your energy towards achieving your goal. My ultimate goal is to be a successful filmmaker, using all the skills I have learned throughout my life and utilizing each one in the filmmaking process. My first step is to find a job in the business, and get to know the film and video workplace better. On the side, I plan on shooting a feature-length film to start getting more content out in the ether.

I want the world to see what I can do through the film medium – taking the visual ideas I have in my head and making them a reality on the screen for everyone to enjoy. I want people to be able to relate to my films and feel emotions through my films. Sometimes films don’t make sense, but here’s the thing: people often trying to make sense of things that might not be immediately clear upon their first viewing. Every problem has a solution, though some problems take more time and effort than others to figure out. Yet through using skills I have learned and a little help, I am confident that anything can be accomplished.
